The World Health Organization has long been the key focus for organized, international information regarding the health status of the world we live in. Offering health information for individuals all over the nations, the World Health Organization provides citizens of the United States with a method in which to obtain international health information, especially when considering travel internationally. In honor of the efforts of the World Health Organization, and to promote international health issues within the United States, many American citizens will participate in observance of World Health Day on, April 7th, by educating children in social aspect of world health and how it applies to their own personal health needs.
On April 7th, World Health Day will be observed by individuals of all ages across the nations but especially focused on social health, nutrition and disease control in the United States. In schools, health education classes for children will focus away from personal health, for the day, and, instead, focus on the health status of the particular regions in which the children live. For example, in areas of the United States where produce and vegetable crops have been destroyed by severe climates, such as ice and freeze, or disease, such as E.coli, children, on World Healthy Day, will learn the importance of gardening and the health benefits of fruits and vegetables in the diet and how agriculture impact world health, right down to the health of their own families.
Also, in observance of World Health Day, many high school and college students will set this day aside to observe the issues impacting water conservation in the World. While many educational curriculum will examine the impact of bottled water on society, specifically health and economy, other educational curriculums will examine the focus of providing clean, disease free water, to suffering countries and how these programs collaborate with organizations, such as Starbucks, to obtain contribution dollars to promote an improvement in world health.
In individual homes, families will commonly use World Health Day, on April 7th, as opportunity to discuss methods for preventing illness and disease contamination and, oftentimes, parents will educate children in proper meal preparation techniques and the importance of recycling. For many, tying these home life lessons into a relationship to personal health and, therefore, leading to an examination on world health, makes for a significant educational impact on this day of recognition known as World Health day.
